Olde English
With colorful vests and bells on their calves, these dancers present dances of olde England. Many of the dances reflect events in daily life - blessing the crops, celebrating fertility, and showing the joys of growing up. Truly an extended family affair for these folks.
Mexican folkloric
Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Arcoiris Latino is a dance troupe of first and second generation immigrants from Mexico. They have been featured in numerous international festivals in the region as well as smaller events. Beautiful costumes, smiling faces, and a wonderful example of Mexican traditional dance.
Spanish
Led by founder Diana Dinicola, Flamenco Louisville is the oldest flamenco group in Louisville. Performances are accompanied by live music. Suitable for festivals, educational and cultural programs, or just great entertainment!
North Indian Classical Dance
Kathak School of Louisville, Meena Deshpande, Instructor. This North Indian style of dance starts slowly and the tempo picks up, with footwork and spins being important parts of the dance. Students wear 25-50 brass bells on each ankle. Subject of dances are Prayers to the Almighty, forces of Nature and within, and Abstract, where dancers show off their ability and expertise in spins and footwork. (Dance area must be appropriate for bare feet.)

Middle Eastern, Bollywood, Tahitian
An extraordinary dancer and entertainer, Ruric-Amari performs solo as well as with her troupe Samovar, a high-energy group that brings traditional and experimental belly dance to the area.
